Confidentiality

Information shared in counseling sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent, except in limited circumstances required by law, including:

• Risk of harm to yourself or others

• Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult

• Situations otherwise required by law

These confidentiality limits will be reviewed with you during your intake process.

We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for telehealth sessions, scheduling, and documentation.

Grace in the Shadows partners with trusted third-party service providers to assist with:

• Insurance verification

• Secure billing and payment processing

These partners are required to maintain strict confidentiality and data protection standards.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected cost of your medical care.

If you are not using insurance or are paying out of pocket, you may request a written estimate of expected charges before beginning services.
