Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session?
Your first session focuses on understanding your story, current concerns, and your goals for counseling. We will gather background information, discuss your preferences regarding faith integration, and outline next steps. This session is collaborative and paced to help you feel comfortable and understood.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. We offer a brief 15-minute phone consultation by request to help determine clinical fit. This is not a therapy session, but an opportunity to ask questions and explore whether our practice is the right fit for your needs.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept a range of insurance plans, though coverage may vary by clinician and state. Our team uses trusted third-party partners to assist with insurance verification and secure payment processing. We recommend verifying your mental health benefits prior to your first appointment.
If we are not in-network with your plan, we can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
What are your fees?
Session fees vary depending on the type of service. Individual and couples sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. Please visit our Insurance & Fees page for detailed pricing information.
Do you offer biblical counseling?
Yes. We offer both clinically integrated counseling and explicitly biblical counseling. Faith integration is always based on the client's preferences and comfort level. We never force spiritual discussion but are happy to incorporate Scripture, prayer, and Christian principles when requested.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. We are licensed mental health counselors and do not prescribe medication. If medication may be beneficial, we can provide referrals to appropriate medical providers.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth sessions, allowing clients to receive counseling from the privacy of their own home. Telehealth services meet the same professional standards as in-person sessions.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
We require a 24-hour advance notice for cancellations. Less than a 24-hour notice may result in a $50 fee.
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
You can review each clinician’s profile on our Team page. If you are unsure, you may request a brief consultation, and we will help guide you toward the therapist best suited to your needs.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. Counseling sessions are confidential, with limited legal exceptions such as risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse reporting requirements, or court orders. These limits will be reviewed during your intake process.
Can you serve as an expert witness or be part of a court case?
Our clinicians do not provide forensic evaluations, custody evaluations, or court testimony.
